June 2012 TBR Pile Reading Challenge Wrapup and Giveaway

I cannot believe how fast the month of June has come and gone! Hope you all are making some progress on the challenge! This has been my most productive month so far for this challenge! School's out and I've been able to stay up all night reading if I wanted to! Here's what I finished (reviews of all except TAOJF to come):

  • If you haven't read Simone Elkeles' Perfect Chemistry novels, YOU ARE MISSING OUT! The best love stories I've read in so long. I finished all three in under 36 hours.

The wrapup challenge for June is a sentence writing challenge. You'll need to create a creative sentence using one word from each of the lists I've provided below.
The theme: camping. Usually at this time I'm floating the river and pitching a tent with good friends.

*You can add words in between the choices, but make sure you keep them in order!

List 1                           List 2                          List 3
tent                              hole                            bear
raft                               cold                            eagle
canteen                       limp                            raccoon
fire wood                     moonlight                   squirrel
cooler                          Dr. Pepper                 puppy
thermos                       bathroom                   snake
sleeping bag                small                          fish

Here's my sentence:
I ended up sticking my sleeping bag on the germ-filled bathroom floor in fear that the raccoon from hell would reappear to nibble our toes.

What can you win? Your choice of a book from The Book Depository, $12 or less.

While gathering fire wood, in order to boil my Dr. Pepper, I taught a squirrel to fetch.

Every time I go camping it rains, which is a problem because my tent has a hole in it and I end up swimming in it like a fish.

While looking for more fire wood in the forest, I fell into a hole and landed right next to a snake, naturally I just started screaming.

While searching for more fire wood in the moonlight, I came face to face with an angry bear.

I went to gather some firewood to make a fire during a coldnight while camping with my friends, I then hear a sound, it turned out to be a bear crying for help.

Because my TENT has a HOLE in it, I woke up to a ferocious SQUIRREL eating my beloved trail mix.

My sleeping bag was liberally doused with Dr Pepper in order to keep the fish alive.

Love the challenge - but not sure I'm going camping with you lot any time soon! :-)

I was searching for firewood by the moonlight when all of a sudden a huge snake slithered by scaring me half to death!

We decided to float in the RAFT in the gorgeous MOONLIGHT, well out on the water, so the ravenous BEAR couldn't reach us.

I tried to find firewood to make fire and push away the cold but since I couldn't find any, I decided to hug my puppy and guess what, he's so much warmer than any fire.
